How do you find the right glove?
Like tools, gloves must fit the job. Here are ten guidelines to follow as you test and choose the appropriate gloves for your work environment:
1. Is this glove easy to get on, when hands are either dry or damp?
2. Does this glove fatigue the hand or is it comfortable?
3. Does the glove irritate the skin?
4. In the case of a latex glove, has it been processed to reduce allergen proteins?
5. Do you need the glove to be with or without powder?
6. Is this glove consistently free of holes, providing a good barrier?
7. Does the glove’s fit remain constant after prolonged use or does it loosen too much?
8. What is the glove’s durability, its resistance to tears and punctures?
9. How well does this glove allow you to manipulate fine objects and feel surfaces?
10. Can you securely grip objects with this glove or is it slippery?
